Jacqueline Malouf (3 July 1941 – 12 October 1999) was an actress, artist and teacher. Malouf was born in Los Angeles California. She is best known for her role as Leilani Dedham, hereditary princess of the fictional island nation of Haleakaloha, in the 1963 John Ford film ''Donovan's Reef''. She also had the uncredited role of Lietta Appleyard, in ''The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance'' (1962), and appeared in episodes of ''Petticoat Junction'' and ''The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet''. Her last screen credit was in 1966. While her diminutive stature made it possible for her to play an adolescent in ''Donovan's Reef'', she was actually a student of the University of Southern California at the time of production and graduated from USC (Class of 1963), having served as vice president of the Associated Student Body. She would later serve on the board of advisers for the USC School of Nursing. She married Andrew Nassir in 1964, and left show business two years later, becoming a teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District and later in a Montessori school. She also followed her desire to become an artist, known for her French Impressionistic-style seascapes. At the time of her death, at age 58, she and Andrew had two sons and a granddaughter. She died in La Jolla, California, of leukemia.
